What is ALTAMEET

Altameet is a beauty brand partner that goes the full distance — from your first sample to your tenth SKU, and every story in between. I work where the brand needs me next: manufacturing, sourcing, content, PR, events, and the longer arc of growth. Not a vendor selling you capacity. Not a consultant handing you a deck. A partner who stays — building, troubleshooting, and growing the brand alongside you, until it becomes the brand it was meant to be.

We work primarily with first-time founders and growing indie brands who need a small, agile partner — not a sourcing arm that treats them as a line item. Pricing is transparent: a flat retainer plus a clearly disclosed commission on order management.

Your Pain Points
How We Solve This
Wrong manufacturer match — capacity oversold, quality misaligned, MOQ unrealistic.
Vetted Korean network Matched by your specs, MOQ, category fit, and budget.
Language and cultural barriers slow every conversation. Vague responses, no Zoom meetings, hidden problems.
Single bilingual lead One point of contact runs every factory conversation in real time, in Korean, and translates context — not just words.
Indie brands get deprioritized by manufacturers. Always saying "no" without explanation or alternatives.
Relationships, Reading Contexts "No" is rarely the end of the conversation — it's MOQ structure, scheduling pressure, or capability mismatch in disguise. I translate what's actually being said, surface the alternatives that weren't offered, and open doors an indie brand alone can't reach.
Hidden margins. Unclear pricing. You never know what the agency really makes.
Transparent fees Disclosed retainer plus a clearly stated commission on order management. You always know what we make.
Hiring an in-house product team is expensive — product manager, sourcing lead, QC, and overseas communications all add up before you've produced a single SKU.
Cost-effective vs. in-house You don't need to hire a product manager, sourcing lead, and QC/communications person separately. With a decade of experience across Korean manufacturing and global brand development, Altameet operates as your outsourced product team — at a fraction of the cost of building one in-house.
A strong product with no story. Generic positioning that gets lost in a crowded category. Weak ingredient narratives. AI search engines that have never heard of you.
AI-powered PR I help shape how the brand tells itself — ingredient storytelling, design coordination, and content engineered for AI search engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) to actually cite when people ask about your category.

02 · Why Altameet

Founder

A decade in beauty, from the floor up.

My career didn't start in K-beauty marketing. It started on the show floors in Cosmoprof Bologna 2015 — long before "K-beauty" became a global category. I've spent the last decade in beauty, lifestyle, fashion, human resources consulting, culture, working across four global hubs: Seoul, Italy, Singapore, and now New York.

Five of those years were inside CJ Group — the conglomerate behind Olive Young, Korea's Sephora. There I led 50+ cultural programs and diplomatic-level events with global institutions, curating K-culture experiences for stakeholders. I was responsible for incubating artists and creative talent — work that, surprisingly, prepared me almost perfectly for incubating indie beauty brands.

Today, Altameet is a boutique consultancy with global reach. I partner directly with Korean manufacturers, handle intensive cross-border negotiations, and collaborate with Korean government affiliates.

03 · What We Do

Two paths to your shelf-ready product.

Whether you bring us a finished formula or just a brief, we'll match you with the right Korean manufacturing path — and then build the operational scaffolding around it.

i.

Private Label

Choose from existing, pre-developed Korean formulations and customize the packaging, branding, and finishing details. Fastest path to launch.

ii.

ODM

Original Design Manufacturing — develop a fully custom formulation from scratch, in collaboration with our partner labs. We manage the brief, the iterations, the stability testing, and the production hand-off.

05 · FAQ

Common questions.

If your question isn't answered below, send us a note and we'll respond within two business days.

For Private Label projects, we typically deliver an approved sample within 2 to 4 weeks, with production starting immediately after, as soon as container and packaging designs are locked in. Initial production takes 6 to 8 weeks; subsequent reorders run shorter, since tooling, packaging, and formulation are already in place. For ODM projects, we typically deliver a batch of samples within 4 to 6 weeks, and once the formula is locked in, run additional stability tests before production.
We charge a flat retainer (3-month minimum, sized to your scope) plus a clearly disclosed commission on order management. There are no hidden mark-ups on factory pricing — you see the manufacturer's quote, and you see exactly what we make on top of it. After product development is complete, if you need ongoing support for reorder management or cross-border communication with the factory, we can continue working together on a smaller monthly retainer.
First of all, congratulations on your new brand! Yes — first-time founders are one of our core client profiles. Building something from scratch can feel daunting, especially when overseas manufacturing is part of the picture. Think of us as the extra team member who's already navigated this terrain — we'll handle the operational side so you can stay focused on the brand you're building.
All our formulation manufacturers are based in South Korea.
For ODM projects, we coordinate signed NDAs and exclusivity agreements with the manufacturer before any formulation work begins. For Private Label projects with proprietary tweaks, we negotiate exclusivity windows on customized variants.
MoCRA and FDA compliance is sequenced after labeling and artwork are finalized — not before. We coordinate the right documentation in the right order: facility registration, product listing, adverse event reporting setup, and labeling review.
