Process Overview
Our process has five phases, from initial consultation to product delivery. Phases 1 to 3 are covered by Production-Ready Development; phases 4 and 5 are covered by optional Production Management. Here's what happens at each step: what you do, what we do, and what you get.
Phase 1: Consultation (Free)
You share your product idea, brand vision, and budget during a free 15-minute introductory call. We assess fit, explain the available manufacturing paths, and identify the appropriate next step. Only this introductory call is free.
Phase 2: Product Planning, Manufacturer Sourcing
You confirm your product concept, target price, and packaging preference. ALTAMEET works with multiple Korean manufacturers and packaging suppliers, selecting partners based on each client's product requirements and project needs. The output is your MOQ, pricing estimate, and timeline.
This takes 1 to 2 weeks.
Phase 3: Sample Development, Sample Review
You review samples and provide feedback. We manage revisions and communicate with the factory. The output is your approved formula and packaging sample.
For planning purposes, allow approximately 4–8 weeks for the full sampling phase, including initial sample development, revisions, and final sample approval. Actual timing depends on formulation complexity, the number of revision rounds, and feedback turnaround. Sample-making fees are US$200–500 per product (SKU), charged by the manufacturer. These are separate from ALTAMEET's development and coordination fees. Up to 3 revision rounds are included.
Phase 4: Production
You approve the final sample and confirm your order. We coordinate production and monitor quality. The output is finished goods ready for shipping.
Before, you must lock in final container design and package designs. Registration also must be taken care of.
For planning purposes, allow approximately 6–12 weeks from final formula and packaging approval to factory dispatch for an initial production order. Formula development, sample revisions, international shipping, and customs clearance are additional. Timing depends on material availability and factory scheduling; custom packaging or additional testing may extend the estimate. The manufacturer confirms the production schedule for each project. Cost is the manufacturing cost, paid directly to the manufacturer. ALTAMEET's Production Management for this phase is optional and billed separately.
Phase 5: Shipping & Delivery
You confirm your delivery address and handle customs if needed. We coordinate logistics and track your shipment. The output is products delivered to you.
This takes 1 to 6 weeks depending on air versus sea freight. Cost is the shipping cost, paid to the freight provider.
Ways to work with ALTAMEET
Production-Ready Development starts at US$3,000 and covers one SKU on an existing ODM base in one product category: needs assessment, a manufacturer-ready RFQ, up to three vetted manufacturer candidates with original quotes, sample development with up to three revision rounds managed in Korean, and coordination of testing, labeling, and MoCRA checkpoints, through to your written approval of the final formula and packaging and a production-ready quote. Fees are billed in two parts: US$1,500 at kickoff and US$1,500 on final approval. Projects scale with scope: US$1,500 for each additional SKU on an existing base, US$2,000 per SKU for custom formulation, US$1,000 per SKU for custom packaging, and US$500 for each revision round beyond the third.
Production Management is optional and billed separately at 8% of the manufacturer's invoice value, with a minimum of US$1,000 per production run; the rate drops to 6% on order value above US$25,000 and 5% above US$75,000. Reorders are 4% with a minimum of US$500. Ongoing multi-product support is available on a monthly retainer from US$1,500. Branding, packaging design, regulatory filing, and marketing are coordinated through vetted partners who bill you directly.
ALTAMEET is paid only by the brands it represents. We do not accept commissions, referral fees, rebates, or margin from manufacturers or partners, and you pay manufacturers at their quoted price. Before you commit, your proposal sets out the scope, fees, calculation basis, and payment terms. Manufacturer and third-party charges (sample fees, development fees, testing, freight, and duties) are separate from ALTAMEET's fees unless expressly included. We handle all manufacturer communication, sample coordination, production timeline management, quality check coordination, shipping logistics, and regulatory guidance.
You handle brand decisions like naming and positioning, sample approval, final approval before production, payment to the manufacturer, receiving and storing inventory, and selling your product.
Q&A
Do I talk to the manufacturer directly? No you don’t. We handle all communication to avoid language barriers and miscommunication.
What if I don't like the samples? Unless we are going for private label, we can revise - and this is not unheard of. Up to 3 rounds are included. Most products are approved within 2 rounds.
